Final Round-table Discussion of Draft Federal Accounting and Reporting Standards in Public Administration Sector in Moscow

On November 24 the concluding roundtable “Discussion of draft federal standards on financial accounting and reporting in public administration sector on the basis of international standards (IPSAS) in the area of General rules, principles and accounting procedures in public administration sector" was held. The roundtable was held in Moscow within the framework of Public Finance Management Technical Assistance Project of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The roundtable was attended by IFEM experts.
Presentations were made by Svetlana Sivets, Deputy Director of the Department of budget methodology and financial reporting in the public sector, MinFin of Russia on the results of the Program of development of Federal accounting standards for public sector organizations, as well as A.Radutsky, Deputy Project Manager, and M.Koshkina, chief contract expert, on the results of development of draft federal accounting and reporting standards for public sector organizations, based on IPSAS in the area of General rules, principles and accounting procedures in public administration sector.
Discussions about transition to the application of federal standards on accounting and reporting in public administration sector and the application procedure of statements of such standards were held.
